This web site and the work I do is dedicated to my late brother Ted Hackman.

He was an accomplished machinist, Ham radio operator, pilot and more. He was extremely instumental in making me the person I am today. He is greatly missed.

What We Do

Speak Easy Radios is dedicated to bringing back a piece of history for everyone to enjoy. Whether it's repairing or restoring that set of yours that's been sitting around for years or selling you one of our beautifully restored sets from our For Sale page. 

On our restorations we replace all old capacitors and resistors, install New Old Stock (NOS) vacuum tubes, replace all wiring, thoroughly clean the chassis and all major components i.e., tuning condenser, dial face, IF transformer cans etc. and install new power cords. The wood cabinets are completely refinished when necessary.
